Concerned with the experience of touch my work begins with the deconstruction of found material. Through tactile involvement I gently reveal and explore the history of the fabric itself. Creating ambiguous objects that invite curiosity from the viewer, these pieces engage the familiar with the unfamiliar and the useful with the useless. Clothing originally defined by touch and further shaped by the artist extends the viewers visual experience towards the tactile invoking a sense of longing.
