In response to the proposed building of the new structure of the Eco-House the artist installed permanent artwork to enhance the structure in a harmonizing and intrinsic way.
The artwork would take the form of a shelf formed of straw bale and lime on the outside the structure. Above the shelf, extruded from the walls of the Eco-House, arched alcoves reference a detail from the ancient walls of the Priory.
The purpose of the alcoves is to provide a miniature installation space for public interaction for the placing of ephemeral artworks and interesting found objects from around the Priory’s grounds.
