It has been a great pleasure to engage a great many young people in active mapping of their local environments. This involves understanding their own locale via making a “jigsaw” map encouraging logical understanding of how maps work leading to the young people creating their own maps of how they use their part of the world. This worked as important informational tool for careers who gained understanding of what was important or upsetting for their charges.
